SPRING SEMESTER AT DIS IS OVER
15.05.2015Working with these talented students through the spring semester on the overall theme of Atsmosphere with assignments like Pavilion of Silence and New Danish Museum for Danish Resistance, 1940 – 45 was beyond the usual. An emotional rollercoaster through real life events during winter through the relive of the appearing spring made the process and results unique of a kind.

12.05.2015Following the completion of the Gammel Hellerup High School multi-purpose hall designed by Bjarke Ingels Group in 2013, a new 1400 m2 building for cultural activities has been inaugurated by the school’s art and sports enthusiasts.

CONTEMPORARY ART WALL GALLERY IN COPENHAGEN
09.05.2015A temporary ART WALL GALLERY of contemporary art has arrived in the city, on the ever-changing wall murals along the 3 meter tall green wooden walls surrounding the constructions sites of the 18 new METRO stations of Copenhagen.
A smart choice from the Metro Company covering up a giant construction site by allowing an interface to enrich the urban experience by promoting of young artists!

With my 10 great DIS 4th year architecture students we did so in just an afternoon, visiting both Malmö + Lund and its 2 great KUNSHALLS by Swedish architect Klaes Anshelm as well as the New parish house in Lund by Swedish-Spanish architect Carmen Izquierdo - inaugurated in 2011 as the result of an open competition in 2004. 16.01.2015The first of three building units at Krøyers Plads at Copenhagens harbourfront has been inaugurated. Sitting next to Denmark's Gourmet Lighthouse NOMA, the apartment building is the country's first to be marked with The Nordic Eco-label, given out by the Danish Minister for Climate, Energy, and Building to the team of COBE / VILHELM LAURITZEN ARCHITECTS.
The construction of the next two apartment blocks is ongoing and is expected to be completed at the end of 2015.
